Alhaji Suleiman Bisalla, the Managing Editor (North) of New Telegraph Newspaper, which began operation some months ago was among the 21 persons confirmed dead in Wednesday’s bomb blast at the EMAB Plaza in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
P.M. NEWS learnt that 46-year old Bisalla left the Abuja office of the New Telegraph newspaper at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for the EMAB plaza to fix his phone.
It was gathered that the corpse of the journalist has been deposited at the Maitama General Hospital, where he and others killed in the blast were taken to.
The newspaper reported this evening that Bisalla’s younger brother, Mohammed, was allowed into the mortuary where he saw the lifeless body of his elder brother.
Bisalla, a former Deputy Editor with the Daily Trust Newspaper in Abuja, joined the New Telegraph newspaper late last year.
He hails from Gindiri in Mangul Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Bissala holds master degree in International Relations, which he obtained from the University of Jos and was married with children.
