Transitioning Into Nigerian Industry; I’m here to contend and takeover – Day-G

Day-G whose birth name is Ayodeji Afolabi was born into the Afolabi family in the United States of America. As someone who was born in America, one would think that he has little or no Nigerian traits but that is the opposite of this Nigerian-American songwriter and singer.

Day-G as he is popularly known is very vast in the Nigerian way. The songwriter who became popularly known for his previous songs has had a lot of perseverance and patience.

His transition into Nigerian music has granted him support from different parts of Nigeria. His ability to blend the Nigerian and American aspects of him has earned him the respect of so many popular Nigerian artists. He may sound like popular American artists such as Drake, and The Weekend, but is representing Nigeria with his rich sounds as well.

Not only is the very talented Day-G someone worth rooting for, but also someone worth watching out for. He is a triple threat that will come, see and conquer. His vocals are so impressive garnering the support of one of 2baba’s producers and guitarist Bolijibeatz.

Having been compared to the likes of Rema, Ckay and Fireboy, he has been able to gather a lot of support from all around America and now Nigeria. He recently dropped a new lead single called Excuse me. The hit song has a music video on Youtube, and you can stream it on Spotify, and Apple music.
