Nigerian singer, Johnson Oyindamola popularly known as Dammy Krane has been granted bail of N50,000 in court for threatening a betting company.
On the 25th of July, 2019, Dammy Krane was said to have threatened the lives of staff members of Merrybet Gold Limited and released a song where he accused the company of breach of contract. He also went on the radio where he shared audio and video messages which was labeled a threat to public peace. His actions, however, did not well with the betting company as they took legal action and wrote a petition to the Nigerian Police accusing him of threats and cyber-bullying.
Dammy Krane was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court today in Lagos by the police on a three-count charge of threat to life, defamation, and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace. The singer was granted bail of fifty thousand naira with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned till October 11th for mention.
