This year, the IARA Awards will take place in London on Saturday 22nd September, celebrating the hard work of those in the Art and Entertainment industry.
Almost 400 guests are expected to attend, the IARA Awards will be an important night for many. Guests will include prominent figures from BBC Films, as well as top producers, actors, artists, fashion designers and media personalities. Community, academic, political, business and diplomatic leaders will also be in attendance.
What Is IARA?
The International Achievement Recognition Awards were founded in 2014 by Helen Imuaphe, as a way to recognize and celebrate the achievements of those in Theatre, Music, Film, TV and Fashion. Whether it’s an outstanding talent or an impressive achievement, IARA acknowledges these impressive feats. The IARA focuses on encouraging the honesty, respect, fair treatment and inclusion of all artists within the Art and Entertainment industry.
The main goal at IARA is to inspire future generations, both in the UK and throughout the rest of the world, to develop and unleash their potential within their chosen fields, thriving in whatever it is they plan to do within the arts.
In the future, IARA hopes to support students financially; this could be in the form of assisting them with a scholarship to drama school or helping them to emerge as a young and promising talent.
What Makes IARA Different?
Whereas other awards focus on a specific sector within the arts, IARA brings everyone together under one roof. Instead of excluding artists, at IARA it is imperative that everyone is celebrated together and as a unit. After all, almost all Art and Entertainment projects are a collaborative effort among a variety of different people and professions.
At IARA, the aim is to highlight those who show diversity, inclusion, equality and innovation within their specific industry. Rather than simply focusing on professionals who work hard, IARA places emphasis upon the remarkable achievements of talented individuals who have excelled far beyond their peers.
