This tiny chick was given a bizarre pair of shoes made from cardboard and sticky tape after an unknown injury caused its feet to knuckle.
The treatment was a success and Jennifer Brent, of the California Wildlife Centre in Malibu, said: “We do five to ten of these each season.”
Not such a rare feet after all, then.
