LasGiiDi, who is set to perform at this year’s installment of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) on the 10th of October, is a versatile artist who has been consistent since he dropped his first singles Ikebe Supaa and Make You Sabi in late 2013. Since then he has dropped 2 singles Twisted and Murda and 2 freestyles (with viral videos): H0t N***a (Freestyle) and Liu Kang (Freestyle). He dropped Mujojo X Mr Renegade a couple of months ago and it has amassed over 11,000 YouTube views already. Most recently, he dropped Won Kere (Won Kere loosely samples Fatai Rolling Dollar’s mega hit “Won Kere Si Number Wa”) which has almost 6000 views on YouTube in less than a month.
OREKELEWA (Beautiful) was definitely crafted with the ladies in mind, LasGiiDi takes a very subtle approach on this track and with the aid of Sammie David on the hook vocals, this should be an instant favorite of Nigerian and African music lovers worldwide.
