Easy Way to Downgrade Windows 8 to Windows 7 OS

Are you tired of using Windows 8 or you are not familiar with the windows 8 interface, then you dont have to worry anymore, you can downgrade it to Windows 7. If you are using plain windows 8 you will need to buy windows 7 key and install it. .

And if you are downgrading from windows 8 Pro to windows 7 Pro or Windows Vista business, you wont need to buy another key. Microsoft understands why businesses with a fleet of windows 8 pcs may wish  to downgrade new PCs so that all their systems use the same OS,  but it is not make easy for consumers to downgrade.

Below we going to explain how to downgrade from Windows 8 Pro to Windows 7 Professional. To downgrade a consumer windows 8 PC you must buy a windows 7 DVD because the steps are identical. If you are consumer and you buy a windows 7 DVD you may choose instead to install windows 7 on a partition and still retain windows 8.

Before you start anything make sure you have your Windows 7 installation disc because you will need it  and you can use the USB method if you have the USB that has windows 7 installation and your Windows 8 Pro activation key. If you are moving from windows 8 Pro to Windows 7 Professional you will not need a new licence key, But you will have to call microsoft to obtain a single-use activation code after Windows 7 is installed because if you attempt to activate windows 7 online will bring up a local activation support phone number that you can call.

Make sure you have all the important drivers for the computer you are downgrading such as the VGA driver, Sound, Network and so on, In windows 8 open  the device manage (right click my computer and click property, then you can click on device manager). Now you can expand each device until there is a list of all the components, You need the manufacturer and model numbers for everything. but the three most critical (important) components are display adaptor, network adaptor and pointing device (if you use anything other than an ordinary mouse).

Now you need drivers for every component. Search on the web for the support pages of each component and download them on your USB drive.

The next things you need to do is back up all the non-windows software you have installed on your windows 8 pro pc. The chances are that you have not installed much given that you wish to downgrade a pc that is presumably new, Also remember to back up all your files. If you do not back it up, you will lose everything that is on the pc.

You can store all your back up files in external device such as USB drives and Disc, and remember that you will not be able to install windows 8 apps once you downgrade to windows 7.

Now you can start the installation

– Boot your pc from the windows 7 disc, you will probably have to pop the disc in the drive and hit F2 or another key durng the boot up process.

– The windows 7 installer will ask you for details such as your geographical loaction, follow the prompts, the system will reboot several times until windows 7 is installed.

– You need to re-install all the drivers you stored on the USB drive or CD, then reinstall the software that you set aside, and load up your files.
