Fashola Appoints Four New Judges

The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola has approved the appointment of four new judges for the state high court.

In a statement by the Lagos High Court Public Relations Officer, Mrs Grace Alo noted that the governor’s approval was sequel to the recommendation of the National Judicial Council under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of
Nigeria, Justice Aloma Mukhtar.

The newly appointed judges includes the current Lagos High Court Registrar, Mrs Iyabo Olamide Akinkugbe, Mrs Serifat Iyabode Sonaike, Mr Abdulfattah Molawale Lawal and Mr Abisoye Jubril Nashua.

The new appointment brings the number of judges in the Lagos State Judiary to 60.

The judges will be sworn-in by Governor on Friday this week at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja.
